Join us for a half-day workshop, with presentations featuring Fritz Anders, Deborah Graham-Gibson, and Crystal Henricks. 3 PD credits available upon request

Spring Into Rhythm
presented by Fritz Anders, Master Teaching Artist, Colorado State Univesity
 
​Encourage and evoke children’s artistic choices through the approach of Dalcroze Eurhythmics.
 
Join us for a fast-paced session on employing and fostering creativity, imagination and the interplay of intentional and purposeful musical choices by elementary age children.
 
Rolling with It: Moving to an International Story
presented by Deborah Graham-Gibson, Certified AES Teacher, Columbus, OH
Brief Description: Come join the fun of a Japanese story told through music and improvisation! The basics of musical storytelling will be explained, and you will see the story told through movement and focused creativity by primary-aged children.
Let’s Start at the Very Beginning
presented by Crystal Henricks, Certified AES Teacher, Chicago, IL 
Come explore ideas and strategies for teaching and practicing simple solfege patterns through eurhythmics. Participants will experience quick-paced solfege activities and ideas for how to transition and apply those activities to listening and movement pieces.

Deborah Graham-Gibson
Deborah Graham-Gibson served the Upper Arlington City Schools (Ohio) as a Music Specialist for 33 years. She holds degrees from the University of Maryland and The Ohio State University, and earned full Orff Certification from Baldwin-Wallace University. She holds American Eurhythmics Teaching Certification and currently serves as Secretary of the American Eurhythmics Society.
Crystal Henricks
Crystal Henricks
Crystal Henricks currently teaches lower school music at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. Her experience includes Nursery School-12th grade general and choral music, both in Chicago and China. She holds a BS in Music Education from Asbury University, Kodály Certification and MMEd from Capital University, and is a Master Teaching Artist with the American Eurhythmics Society. She completed Levels I-III Orff Schulwerk Certification from the University of Kentucky and Anderson University. She is an active clinician for workshops throughout the United States. She has taught elementary music pedagogy and folk song research classes at Colorado State University, DePaul University, VanderCook College of Music, and the University of Central Missouri.
