Dalcroze Eurhythmics in the Elementary General Music Classroom

This session will provide opportunities for teachers in the elementary general music classroom to experience the fundamental concepts of the Dalcroze approach.  Activities for steady beat, durations, meter, aural skills, and canon will be provided.  The use of folk songs combined with purposeful movement to teach musical concepts will also be included, as well as expressive movement activities.
