Dalcroze Eurhythmics: An Approach to Musical Learning through Meaningful Movement

This participatory workshop will present the principles of the Dalcroze approach, which include the study of eurhythmics, solf├Ęge, and piano improvisation. This workshop will provide meaningful ways to include. movement rooted in this approach to meet state standards; specifically standards 1, 5, 6, & 10 as the workshop will include movement activities that involve the singing of folks songs and scale exercises, reading rhythmic notation, listening to and analyzing music to discover expressive qualities, and creating movement in groups.
